Resource Title Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP)

A program to help parents learn to deal with issues related to their own children such as responsibility, independence, communication, and consequences for decisions. Four programs address the parent-child needs in four age groups: 0-6, 6-12, 13-18, and Spanish version for ages 6-12. Ninety minute sessions are provided for groups of 6-14 parents. Targeted for African American, Hispanic, and White participants in urban settings such as schools, outpatient clinics, and community settings.
