Resource Title What, Me Worry? Students, Stress and Learning
Summary Stress is a physiological response to a perception of a lack of control. In this webinar slide presentation research is provided related to symptoms of stress, how children and teens react to stress (normal vs. maladaptive), and how young people perceive their stress differently from adults. Impacts on learning and behavior are presented, as well as solutions to assist school personnel with strategies that lessen classroom teaching and school related stress, including coping skills, stress management techniques, and how to promote a positive school climate.
