Resource Title Youth Mental Health First Aid
Summary YMHFA is designed to improve knowledge and modify attitudes and perceptions about mental health and related issues, including how to respond to youth who are experiencing one or more acute mental health crises. The course focuses on the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention, and most importantly – teaches individuals how to help a youth in crisis or experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. The course is designed for adults who regularly work or interact with adolescents.
